Kinesiology Federation recognized advanced training leading to professional status.

The Head of Kinesiology for each area is denoted by an 'H' after their name. These individuals are the leaders of their particular area of Kinesiology in the UK.

This part of the website provides information about KF recognised courses taught by KF members. There are other trainings available.  However, potential students should be aware that only courses recognised by the KF and taught by KF members are covered by our Grievance procedure, Code of Conduct and block insurance policy.

Please see the Course Diary section for scheduled dates.

This Open College Network-accredited part-time course is modular and can be taken over a period of two to five years. It includes modules in core subjects as well as foundation and advanced-level kinesiology, progressing to diploma status and teacher training. On achievement of diploma status, the recipient can use DipClassK after their name. The course also encompasses all aspects of healing including structure, body chemistry and the emotions. It is Applied Kinesiology-based, but also includes new tried and tested approaches such as analogue muscle testing, which has been found to improve muscle testing accuracy. The course is  likely to appeal to people who would like to train as naturopaths alongside kinesiology. Classical Kinesiology specializes in addressing problems such as candidiasis, parasites and blood sugar imbalances.

On successful completion of the Classical Kinesiology Diploma, DeMontfort University, Leicester, will APEL (exempt) some modules of their BA Hons. in Health Studies. On examination of a portfolio of work already achieved during the Diploma Course, it may be possible for applicants to be exempt from level 1 (first year) and possibly part of level 2 (second year) of the degree course. Please contact CKI for further details.

The Way of the Tracker
This form of kinesiology was developed by Haakon Lovell, an acupuncturist and expert in geophysical energies, and Carrie Jost, a kinesiologist, psychotherapist and healer. Way of the Tracker is the professional training course resulting from their work. It is a highly effective way of helping people to make positive steps forward and finding their path in life. This is done by addressing the nature of the problem or issue, finding where it is in the system, where it came from and how to work with it. Students learn how to help others through this process by working in a group setting to work on their own process of healing.

Perceptual Bodywork
This training was created by Natalie Davenport, a kinesiologist and expert in many bodywork methods. The course takes students through the major body work and energy medicine approaches originating in Applied Kinesiology, and teaches them in a way which allows for enhanced use of the senses. This is also a full professional training course.

Together the two courses make for a powerful and creative approach to healing and well being on all levels. Both courses require students to have a foundation in Touch for Health or equivalent basic course in kinesiology.

Teachers of Way of the Tracker are Carrie Jost, Christina Damerell.

Teachers of Perceptual Bodywork are Natalie Davenport, Carrie Jost, Alan Slater, Rachel Stanford, Terry Shubrook.

Educational Kinesiology, also called Brain Gym, was developed by Paul Dennison PhD, an educationalist, to help children and adults overcome learning difficulties and attain everyday goals by integrating the brain hemispheres and body. It has applications in education, business, physical and performance skills and self-development. The training programme leads to certification as a Consultant and Instructor and offers a wide range of professional opportunities.

Health Kinesiology   Health Kinesiology

Health Kinesiology was developed by Jimmy Scott, who trained as a physiological psychologist. HK is a truly holistic system, in that it looks at problems caused by negative thinking, stress, allergic reactions, geopathic stress, the electromagnetic affects of such devices as computers and televisions, old physical injuries, and blocks in the energy system.  The HK training is an accredited part-time course by West and North Yorkshire Open College Network based at Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds. There are 5 stages, set approximately 12 weeks apart, each consisting of 4 days (30 hours) plus a final assessment day.

Once the meridian energy has been balanced to allow the energy to flow smoothly along the meridian pathways, energy permission is sought to work to deal with the client's concerns and help them achieve their goals. In Health Kinesiology the therapist examines four categories -

1) Energy Correction factors where stress, both physical and subtle, locked anywhere in the system is released by highlighting the stress in as simple a way as possible and holding the acupuncture circuits that will 'correct' or release the stress
2) Energy Toning factors to help strengthen existing energy pathways
3) Adjunctive Factors to help support the physical body while the healing is processed and
4) Focused Energy Redirection which concentrates energy into a specific area to speed up healing.

Holistic Kinesiology   Holistic Kinesiology

Christina Damerell developed the Holistic Kinesiology trainings as a synthesis of her own learning, practising and teaching experiences over nearly 20 years.  Holistic Kinesiology is solidly grounded in applied kinesiology techniques and further enriched by learning gained from other powerful models, providing explorations of the hidden depths and outer reaches of our human experience.

In their work together, Holistic Kinesiology students are gently encouraged and challenged to explore their own life issues using these wise models.  This enables the students to own fully the information that they discover and apply.  As they learn in this way, their personal talents blossom and they quickly grow in skill and confidence in working with others.

The equality of both participants in the learning experience, be it teacher and student or practitioner and client, is the foundation stone of the Holistic Kinesiology approach:  we are two human beings on a shared journey of exploration towards enhanced joy and health.

Optimum Health Balance (OHB) is a kinesiological system unique in its integration of muscle response with the use of vibrational icons (visual symbols) that allow the body to lead 'a conversation' that both identifies imbalances and selects treatments. Its strength lies in its simplicity of practice while enabling depth of content and effectiveness.

OHB helps the client to create a state of progressively positive health at all levels of being and thus overcome problems and raise the person's energy to the highest possible level at the time of balance and to assist in creating what is desired in life.

Its originator, Charles Benham, is considered a leading pioneer of kinesiology in the UK.

Progressive Kinesiology is an exciting new branch of Kinesiology, developing standard techniques with studies in Oriental Diagnosis and new practice theories. The course enables students to progress through the levels of a holistic balance by completing modules in each major area: energy, emotions, structure and chemistry.

Progressive Kinesiology's comprehensive coverage allows a practitioner to have deep communication with the body's messages to determine the root cause of symptoms and perform effective corrections. The Association of Natural Medicine, a registered charity since 1981, is the Centre of Excellence which awards Foundation and Diploma Certificates to successful graduates of Progressive Kinesiology.

The title Three In One refers to the integration of body, mind and spirit, to emphasize the holistic nature of this kinesiology.

Three In One Kinesiology has particular success in the field of learning difficulties and addresses dyslexia in its broadest sense. The aim is to help people to overcome problems caused by fear, pain or self-doubt which have resulted in inability to learn, know or change. Any emotional issue can potentially be resolved by this approach, and it is found that many physical symptoms disappear when the underlying stress-related cause is successfully resolved.

As well as helping to improve confidence and self-esteem the Three In One approach can help with clearing addictions and phobias, motivating weight loss, improving performance in sports and overcoming a variety of other limitations. For further information please contact:
