In this section you will find general information about each of the membership categories.  If you require an application form or further details e.g. if you are trained in a kinesiology but it is not one recognised by the KF, please contact the Admin office kfadmin@kinesiologyfederation.org – or phone 0845 260 1094. The office is manned Monday – Thursday 9am to noon and there is an answerphone outwith those times.

 
 
  Benefits of Kinesiology Federation Membership

Since 1991 the KF has represented the interests of kinesiologists from all branches of kinesiology in the UK, aiming to build a supportive network for all members.  There is a range of membership categories available.

All members of the Kinesiology Federation have access to:
 
• KF newsletter (Kinesiology Today) and e-zine (KF Update)
• Free professional, full colour, A1 posters.
• Free professional posters to download from KF website.
• Free KF postcards.
• Free press pack which consists of copies of all the recent articles about kinesiology.
• Excellent insurance cover at reduced group rates from Balens.
• KF website with a Members Section that includes information on promotion, insurance, CPD, FAQ and National Kinesiology Awareness Week. The Training Section has Diary Dates and information on KF recognised courses.
• The safety and security of our Code of Conduct.
• Membership card.
 
PLUS, if you are a TFH Instructor member you have:
 
• Free entry on the TFH Instructors listings on the website and in the Training Pack.
• Voting rights at the AGM.
• Reduced rate advertising in Kinesiology Today for KF recognised courses. Advertising of KF recognised courses on the website.
• Use of the KF logo to publicise KF recognised training courses.
 
AND KF Associate, KFRP and IKFRP members have:
 
• Membership certificate.
• Corporate advertising package with Yellow Pages.
• Free leaflets with space for own contact details.
• Use of KF logo to publicise their kinesiology practice.
• Photos available for use on own leaflets and permission to use information provided on KF website.
• Free entry on the TFH or Foundation Instructors listings on the website and in the Training Pack.
• Entry on the practitioner search on the KF website with options to add information about specialities, other therapies and details about the branches of kinesiology you have studied.
• Referrals through the KF Admin office.
 
Which leads on to one of the most important benefits of being a member of the Kinesiology Federation:
 
• A friendly, efficient and supportive administrative office that provides accurate information on a variety of subjects including UK regulations, Kinesiology National Occupational Standards, Consumer Protection Legislation, insurance, international requirements, suppliers' contact information etc, etc.
 
When you are a member of the Kinesiology Federation you know that your subscription money goes to promote kinesiology and only kinesiology. We invest your fees to produce professional marketing material, to develop relationships with the media and we actively strive to get kinesiology more widely recognised throughout the U.K.

 
 
  International Kinesiology Federation Registered Professional (IKFRP) (£110 per annum)

This category is open to KFRP members who have been assessed by the International Kinesiology College and have evidenced 1200 total hours of training in kinesiology and additional core subjects - Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Practice Management, Communication Skills and Clinical Practice.

 
 
  Kinesiology Federation Registered Professional (KFRP) (£95 per annum)

This category is available to kinesiologists who have been assessed in both a foundation and an advanced kinesiology training that is recognised by the KF, plus have been assessed in Nutrition, Interpersonal Skills, Practice Management and Anatomy and Physiology.  They will also have completed 200 clinical practice hours and have undergone mentoring.

 
 
  Kinesiology Federation Associate (KF Assoc.) (£70 per annum)

The category is available to those kinesiologists who have been assessed in both a foundation and an advanced kinesiology recognised by the KF but who have yet to complete all the requirements for KFRP e.g. Nutrition, Practice Management, Anatomy and Physiology and Interpersonal Skills.  KF Associates are under the supervision of a mentor.

  Touch for Health Instructor (£70 per annum)

This category is open to anyone who is an updated and International Kinesiology College registered Touch for Health Instructor.

  Touch for Health Proficient (£45 per annum)

This category is open to everyone who has completed the training, home study requirements and assessment in Touch for Health.

  Touch for Health Member (£40 per annum)

The category is open to everyone who has completed a course of study in Touch for Health.  The minimum requirement is to have done Touch for Health 1.

Student membership is open to anyone studying on a KF recognised kinesiology training course with a KF recognised instructor.
