One route to achieve professional status with the Kinesiology Federation is to do a KF recognised Foundation training plus a KF recognised Advanced Kinesiology training.  There are other trainings available.  However, potential students should be aware that only those courses recognised by the KF are covered by our Code of Conduct, grievance procedure, and block insurance policy.

Please see the Course Diary section for scheduled courses.

This 10 day course gives a thorough general introduction to kinesiology with emphasis on the technique of careful, objective and respectful muscle monitoring of 42 muscles.   Students learn to give a full body balance by assessing and correcting 14 circuits, using techniques drawn from "Touch for Health", plus a few finger modes and other techniques in each of the electromagnetic, emotional, nutritional and structural areas.   The Touch for Health manual and the Holistic Foundation manual are both supplied and no prior experience is necessary to benefit from these hands-on classes, which are informal, relaxed, and combine a generous mix of demonstration, practise, theory and background. This foundation course is a pre-requisite for the Advanced Holistic Course.

The Progressive Kinesiology Foundation Course is made up of Four Modules and Assessment.  The Foundation course is specially designed to begin the journey of understanding kinesiology in a standardised, practical and comprehensive way.  Our foundation course is based on the original Touch for Health Training, plus incorporates the taking of case notes, home study and practical and written assessment to ensure professionalism to our very high standards.

Module 1 - begins with the history of Kinesiology, its aims and concepts, which created this profound therapy. We learn the muscle testing rules and understand the importance of pre-checks, which ensure accuracy of testing, plus learn to use correction points for each muscle and meridian, which incorporates practical skills.

Module 2 - covers the main muscle tests of the fourteen meridians including the spindle cells and Golgi tendons, origin and insertion of each muscle, plus power of goal balancing and circuit locating to quicken the correction process. Introduction of the five elements.

Module 3 - introduces the power of the Acupuncture Holding Points (AHP). We learn Alarm Points of the body and work with the one-point-balance, or one-fix-balance.

Module 4 - we bring in the 'finger modes' to help us identify more quickly where the imbalance lies within the treatment and find the support required in another way from that already learnt.

The Touch for Health (TFH) synthesis begins with TFH Level 1. This can be used as a starting point for progressing through to practitioner level or as a standalone workshop which provides you with enough techniques to help yourself, your family and friends. There are four further levels and each level is taught over two days.

The workshops are very interactive with at least 75% of the time spent in demonstrations and practical work. This gives lots of time to try your new skills with the other students giving you the confidence to work with others when you get home!

No prior knowledge is required. You may choose to study this programme to enhance your existing skills, for self help or just to have fun!

Benefits
There are many ways that Touch for Health skills can help you and also enable you to help you family and friends:

  • The ability to help yourself and influence your own health
  • Greater concentration through brain coordination exercises
  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Assistance in managing stress at home and work
  • Improved posture
  • Relief from physical pain and tension
  • Assistance in changing attitudes and unhelpful behaviour
  • Enhanced brain function and therefore improved co-ordination, reading, writing, work and sports performance
